Non-Discrimination
All programs of the Commission on Board Certification (COC) of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) shall be administered without discrimination on the basis of age, sex, color, creed, disability, gender identity, health status, lifestyle, nationality, ethnicity, race, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, disability, status as a Vietnam era or special disabled veteran, or other statutory or otherwise legally protected category. This policy shall apply to all aspects of the Certification Program, including but not limited to its dealings with volunteers, employees and applicants. The COC will make reasonable accommodations for the known disability of qualified individuals, unless undue hardship to ANCC would result and such accommodation would not be required by law. This policy also prohibits unlawful discrimination or discriminatory conduct by any Certification Program Volunteer or staff member.
