Take the Big Data self-assessment to pinpoint your strengths and then share your capabilities during a virtual session with your peers and knowledge coach.
The course includes contemporary information surrounding the big data explosion, predictive analytics, and how big data can be harnessed for healthcare. You will gain analytics skills through the application of concepts via a hands-on session using the IBM ® Watson Analytics platform - analyze data and make real world connections to your nursing practice. Course elements have been linked to competencies identified in ANA’s Nursing Informatics: Scope and Standards of Practice.

Troy Garland, MBA, BA, RN
With over 26 years of nursing and healthcare experience, Troy Garland has been a bedside nurse, hospital executive, Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, and ACO executive as well as a clinical consultant. He has experience in inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory areas within commercial and governmental organizations (VA and DOD). Within these roles, Troy has expertise in operations, process development, group facilitation, speaking, patient engagement, and clinical application of technology.
