National Healthcare Disaster Certification

Presented by Ancc
Interprofessional Certifications

Credential Awarded: NHDP-BC

The ANCC National Healthcare Disaster Professional board certification examination is a competency based interprofessional entry level examination that provides a valid and reliable assessment of the knowledge, skills and competencies of healthcare professionals relevant to all phases of the disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery cycles. The goal is to promote successful outcomes for the public, disaster responders, and healthcare professionals involved in a disaster.

Once you complete eligibility requirements to take the certification examination and successfully pass the exam, you are awarded a credential. This certification credential is valid for five years. You can continue to use this credential by maintaining your official authority to practice as described in the eligibility criteria and in meeting the renewal requirements in place at the time of your certification renewal.
