The World Continuing Education Alliance (WCEA), a social impact technology company that works in partnership with the International Council of Nurses (ICN), has a partnered with the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to improve access to quality evidence-based training for nurses in low-and middle income countries using innovative technology solutions.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) Board of Directors appointed leaders to serve on the 10-member board of directors for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). All terms of office begin on January 1, 2020.

Rebecca Graystone, MS, MBA, RN, NE-BC, will serve as the new vice president of the Magnet Recognition® and Pathway to Excellence® Program. 

 On behalf of the ANCC Board of Directors, the Nominations Committee issues this call for qualified nominees for appointment to seats on the Commission on Accreditation in Nursing Continuing Professional Development (COA-NCPD), Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs (COA-PTP), Commission on Magnet® (COM), and Commission on Pathway to Excellence® (COPE), which serve as the governing bodies for their respective ANCC programs.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) today presented Professor Sheila D. Tlou, PhD, RN, FAAN, with the prestigious HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein Award for her more than 30 years of impassioned advocacy for nursing and healthcare across the globe. Today, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) presented its prestigious Margretta Madden Styles President’s Award to Patricia Benner, PhD, RN, FAAN. The award recognizes her exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and revolutionary impact on nursing practice and on society as a whole.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) Board of Directors has appointed Laura J. Wood, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN as President of its credentialing subsidiary, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Dr. Wood will continue her current two-year ANCC Board service as President Designate until her term as President begins Jan 1, 2024.
