ANCC Pathway to Excellence® Program Celebrates More Than 300 Designated Organizations Worldwide
New designations expand the program’s global footprint into Qatar and Scotland
SILVER SPRING, MD – The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence® program has surpassed 300 designated healthcare organizations worldwide, marking an exciting milestone in the program’s continued global growth.
The achievement reflects increasing momentum among healthcare organizations committed to creating positive, empowering, and safe practice environments where nurses are supported and equipped to thrive.
ANCC reached the milestone following its most recent voting call, which welcomed six newly designated organizations:
- Atrium Health Floyd (Georgia, United States)
- St. Anthony's Hospital (Florida, United States)
- Covenant Hospital Levelland (Texas, United States)
- Sidra Medicine (Qatar)
- Ghayathi Hospital (United Arab Emirates)
- NHS Grampian (Scotland)
“Surpassing 300 Pathway to Excellence designations is a meaningful milestone because it signals that more organizations are choosing to invest in an environment that prioritizes safety, respect, and shared decision-making with nurses,” said Brad Goettl, DNP, DHA, APRN, FAAN, FACHE, Chief Nursing Officer of the American Nurses Enterprise. “When nurses are supported, patients have better outcomes, and organizations are better positioned to retain and grow their workforce.”
The Pathway to Excellence® program recognizes healthcare organizations that demonstrate a commitment to building and sustaining workplace environments where nurses can thrive.
Pathway-designated organizations now span 39 states and Washington, DC, as well as nine countries outside the United States. Qatar is the newest country to join the program’s expanding international footprint. In the United Kingdom, NHS Grampian joins 12 other hospitals in the region that have earned Pathway recognition, further demonstrating growing engagement with the program.
The milestone represents a growing global community of healthcare organizations united by a commitment to supporting nurses, strengthening the healthcare workforce, and advancing excellent patient care.
