Four organizations are the first to receive ANCC’s Well-Being Excellence® credential outside of the pilot program

SILVER SPRING, MD – The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) announced that its Well-Being Excellence® credential was awarded to the first four organizations to receive the credential outside of the pilot program. The newly credentialed well-being programs are from the following organizations:

  • Galen College of Nursing (Louisville, KY)
  • White Plains Hospital (White Plains, NY)

  • The University of Vermont Medical Center (Burlington, VT)

“Workforce well-being is foundational to safety and long-term organizational resilience,” said Brad Goettl, DNP, DHA, APRN, FAAN, FACHE, Chief Nursing Officer of the American Nurses Enterprise. “With this credential, this diverse set of organizations are making a clear, measurable commitment by advancing systems and practices that support a holistic culture of well-being.”

ANCC Well-Being Excellence® provides evidence-based standards to help organizations evaluate and strengthen workforce well-being efforts, building on ANCC’s legacy of recognizing environments that prioritize safety, health, and support for the workforce. By achieving the credential, these organizations demonstrate tangible commitments to creating a supportive work environment, attracting and retaining top talent, and improving overall employee satisfaction and engagement.

ANCC developed the Well-Being Excellence® credential through extensive research and collaboration with experts and refined it through a pilot process across diverse organizations to ensure the standards address real-world challenges in fostering organization-wide well-being.
