FREE Nurses Week Webinar: “Break Free from Burnout Virtual Event & Interactive Q&A”

SILVER SPRING, MD – Today, the American Nurses Foundation (the Foundation), in partnership with the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), is premiering a free, interactive webinar during Nurses Week. It’s also the national premiere of the Nurse Well-Being: Building Peer and Leadership Support , which is currently being tested at four different pilot sites across the country and will be widely accessible in the fall of 2024.
The “Break Free from Burnout Virtual Event & Interactive Q&A” webinar focuses on providing nurses, health care professionals, and health care leaders with evidence-based strategies and practical solutions to manage stress and burnout more effectively. Nurse Well-Being: Building Peer and Leadership Support , which was created with generous support from the United Health Foundation and also featured within the webinar, teaches how to transform organizational culture by removing the stigma associated with seeking mental health assistance. This webinar was created to align with the ongoing and critical need to support the well-being of nurses and other health care professionals.

Griffen, DrPH, MPH, MCHES®, Interim Executive Director and Vice President of Programs at the Foundation.
A representative from the Office of the Surgeon General (OSG) will join the webinar to discuss how the OSG is addressing health care worker burnout and mental health as a top priority.
