Sample Test Questions
Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Sample Questions
The following sample questions are similar to those on the examination but do not represent the full range of content or levels of difficulty. Please note that answering these or any sample question(s) is not a requirement to sit for an actual certification examination. Completion of these or any other sample question(s) does not imply eligibility for certification or successful performance on any certification examination.
To respond to the sample questions, first enter your first and last names in the boxes below (this information will not be recorded; it is strictly for purposes of identifying your results). Then click the button corresponding to the best answer for each question. When you are finished, click the "Evaluate" button at the bottom of the page. A new browser window will open, displaying your results, which you can print. If you want to see the answers to the sample questions without answering them, simply click the “Evaluate” button.
This examination includes four types of questions: 1) multiple choice; 2) multiple response; 3) drag and drop; and 4) hot spot. Most of the test questions are multiple choice. The sample questions below are intended to help you get an idea of the type of content on the exam.
For a demonstration of how the questions – including multiple response, drag and drop, and hot spot items – will appear on the exam, click here, select the blue "✔OK," then the green "✔Confirm," and then accept the Confidentiality and Conduct Agreement. A tutorial showing how to use the exam system will open. You will then be able to practice answering questions in the format you will use at the exam site. The content of these demonstration items will not necessarily match that of the specialty of your examination. The demonstration items are meant solely to practice using the system in which you will take the exam.
Note: If you would like to change your answer for drag and drop items, you must drag the blue options back to their original location.
You may answer these sample questions and practice with the demonstration items as many times as you wish.
