A multitude of resources are available for COVID-19 education and research. Below are a few key resources ANA relies upon for evidence-based information on COVID-19 education, treatment, and mitigation and future preparedness.
On April 21, the National Institutes of Health announced the release of COVID-19 treatment guidelines which were developed by an expert panel.
The World Health Organization provides global updates on the COVID-19 pandemic, global campaigns to combat COVID-19, and information on international data, research, and policies to address the pandemic.
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) provides evidence based scientific resources and research for infection preventionists and health care professionals. APIC also has COVID-19 pandemic resources on infection control and prevention, you can find their resource portal here.
The American Association for Critical Care Nurses provides comprehensive resources for the continuing education of nurses within the critical care space. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, AACN has generously partnered with ANA for the second installment of our COVID-19 webinar series, Ventilator Care for the Non-ICU nurse. AACN also offers a free four-part e-learning module on Pulmonary, ARDS, and Ventilator Resources available for access through the link in the title above.
ASPR Technical Resources, Assistance Center, and Information Exchange (TRACIE) from the US Department of Health and Human Services was created to deliver information and resources for professionals on the frontlines of health care preparedness.
