ANA's NCNQ® is an active participant in the national quality enterprise. Recognized as a leader in the field, ANA collaborates with a number of organizations to influence the healthcare system. This collaboration includes discussions with groups such as the National Priorities Partnership and a number of quality alliances. These discussions are undertaken in order to move forward the nursing quality agenda and thereby ensure increased patient safety nationwide.
A new online collaboration learning community - the Nursing Quality Network has been created for nurses engaged in improving nursing quality performance with their facility. The Network offers three avenues of inquiry that support member hospitals in achieving their QI goals: learning events such as forums, webinars, learning voyages and on-demand programs; an ever expanding resource library; and an online community of nurses who connect with counterparts faced with similar challenges, share information and find solutions.
