COPE Appoints New Member
SILVER SPRING, MD The Nominating Committee of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Rodney Hauch, DNP, RN, PCCN to its Commission on Pathway to Excellence® (COPE).
As staff nurse member of COPE, Dr. Hauch will assist in the governance of ANCC’s Pathway to Excellence Program by:
- Providing strategic direction to the Pathway to Excellence—and Pathway to Excellence-Long Term Care—Program;
- Approving Pathway to Excellence Program criteria, policies, and guidelines based on standards established by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and research;
- Making final decisions regarding the awarding of the Pathway to Excellence designation.
Currently a Clinical Nurse III at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida, Dr. Hauch brings extensive direct care experience, and a staff nurse’s invaluable insights, to the commission.
