Michelle O’Neal, EdD, MSN, RN, CNE
Dr. O’Neal is a certified nurse educator with various clinical experiences in a variety of settings including but not limited to community health, immunology, obstetrics, and medical-surgical nursing. She has first-hand experience with medical errors and has seen the shift from a punitive environment to a learning culture—seeking first to understand. Her educational background includes studies in nursing education and leadership and management. Dr. O’Neal has served as faculty with undergraduate students in health assessment, nursing research, community health, healthcare policy and the RN-BSN capstone. She previously developed a clinical nurse leader (CNL) education track and has served as a board member at a local hospital where she gained expertise in quality and safety. She is a member of various nursing organizations including the ANA, NLN, and Sigma Theta Tau International. In the past, Dr. O’Neal contributed to practice and nursing knowledge as a member-at-large with the New Jersey State Nurses’ and as a board member at The Memorial Hospital of Salem.

Through this innovative collaboration, SNHU is able to deliver subject matter expertise in the area of Quality Improvement in Healthcare. Upon successful completion of the three SNHU/ANA courses, students will have achieved the academic content required to receive academic credit toward an MSN course, IHP-604 Healthcare Quality and Improvement or equivalent.

This course is currently available in MSN, MSN Patient Safety and Quality and MSN Clinical Nurse Leader only. Participants must meet all of Southern New Hampshire University's MSN program admission requirements and eligibility of prior learning credit. SNHU does not admit students from Washington State for nursing programs.
