Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification Interactive Online Review Course
Participants may earn continuing education contact hours, valuable study tips and information to be utilized in preparing for certification exams. Domains of practice in the workshop reflect the test content outline.
The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Review Course provides information relevant to current practice and review materials to prepare for the ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification exam. The course content aligns with the ANCC exam content outline.
Throughout the course you will be immersed in independent study with 24/7 access, consisting of multimedia learning activities combined with knowledge checks, case studies, and other knowledge assessment activities. An electronic copy of the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Review & Resource Manual is also included for the duration of the course. Access to the course content remains available until the CE expires.

Susie Adams, PhD, PMHNP-BC, PMHCNS-BC, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Adams has over 30 years of experience as a psychiatric advanced practice RN with 18 years directing the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program at Vanderbilt University, where she continues to serve as a faculty scholar mentoring both faculty and students. She is a recognized leader in psychiatric nursing through her service as Past President of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (2014-2016), publications, and her participation in national expert panels to develop PMHNP competencies and NP program criteria. Dr. Adams maintains a private practice and serves as a consultant to a network of community agencies that provide services for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing.
Marissa Abram, PhD, RN,PMHNP-BC
Dr. Abram is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Adelphi University in the College of Nursing and Public Health. Sheis a PhD prepared Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner currently practicing in Emergency Psychiatry and Substance Use Disorders. Dr. Abram serves on the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services Nurses Advisory Panel. She has a passion for Patient Safety and is on the board Pulse Center for Patient Safety whose primary focus to raise awareness about patient safety through advocacy, education and support. Dr. Abram received Modern Healthcare’s 2017 Excellence in Nursing: Rising Star award.
