Overview:
This pre-recorded Navigate Nursing webinar will provide information about mental health conditions that may affect nurses. The presentation will focus on strategies that will help nurses identify and intervene with nursing mental health concerns. Mental health conditions that will be discussed include Nurse PTSD, depression, stress, suicide and anxiety disorders.
Presented By:
Dr. Judy Davidson, DNP, RN, FCCM, FAAN
Dr. Davidson is an experienced researcher, CNS and lecturer who serves the University of California San Diego as a nurse scientist, mentoring nurses to develop practice change projects, research, present and publish. She has over 70 manuscripts published in peer-reviewed medical and nursing journals. In recent years her work has shifted from critical care to a focus on workplace wellness and mental health issues in nursing. She has conducted research on the consequences of blame, cultivating acts of kindness, provision of caregiver support and nurse suicide. She is an active member of ANA and a Fellow in the Academy of Nurses.
