Mindfulness is a powerful approach to self-care. It’s purposefully paying attention in the present moment with a sense of acceptance and nonjudgment. Not being mindful or aware of the present moment due to immense pressure as a part of the job can cause unmanaged stress. Unmanaged stress can have detrimental effects on patient care and safety and can lead to burnout—or worse.

Cultivating Mindfulness for Nursing Practice and Self-Care is designed to explore how mindfulness can be used to enhance your nursing practice and your overall well-being. Throughout this online course, you will practice a variety of activities that promote mindfulness and you will learn strategies that will help you incorporate mindfulness practices into your everyday life.

This interactive, online course lets you navigate through four learning modules on your own time at your own pace. Each module is created to help you become more mindful of your health and well-being.

This course is designed for use on a desktop or laptop computer. This course will not function on tablets or mobile devices.
