Overview

Have you ever thought about how caring for yourself affects what you do as a Nurse? Nurses deal with stress both in and out of the workplace – in addition to the everyday physical, social, emotional, nutritional, and financial, stresses that life can bring.

Hospitals and healthcare organizations are becoming more focused on enhancing wellness for nurses. These efforts can result in cultural transformations that not only improve employees’ experience, but also, clinical outcomes and patient experience.

During this webinar you will learn how one organization gathered input from frontline nurses and experts to design innovative programs and structures to meet the complex self-care needs of individuals and nursing teams. You will share in their experience by learning how they utilized shared governance to implement programs to promote wellness, address barriers to wellbeing, and support nurses in developing self-care skills.

Bonus Content just added! See the presentation of the 2020 ANA Innovation Awards powered by BD. Know what your colleagues are doing in the Innovation space. These awards highlight, recognize, and celebrate nurse-led innovation that improves patient safety and/or outcomes. The ANA Innovation Awards powered by BD will be presented to an individual nurse and a nurse-led team whose product, program, project, or practice, improve patient outcomes and exemplify nurse-led innovation.

Key Learning Outcomes

  1. Describe the impact that wellness promotion and self-care can have on healthcare team members and organizations.
