You need information on COVID-19 from PPE to ethical dilemmas. ANA’s Membership Team initiated this Webinar Series in March 2020 as an immediate response to the global pandemic. This product provides you access to the entire series in one location with the opportunity to earn CE credit.
You will gain insights and tools for how to cope with various aspects of the pandemic. This series includes:
- Be Confident Protecting Yourself and Providing the Best Care to Your Patients during this COVID-19 Pandemic – Learn how to implement critical infection control standards to minimize spread and maintain health care worker protection. You also receive best practice recommendations for optimal protection while maximizing a limited supply of PPE during time of patient surge. Presented by ANA in partnership with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
- Ventilator Management: Essential Skills for Non-ICU Nurses – Watch this presentation to identify key skills needed when caring for a patient on a ventilator. This includes reading basic ventilator settings, assessing patients on ventilators, coping with alarms, and assisting with intubation. Presented by ANA in partnership with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
- How to Respond to Ethical Challenges and Moral Distress during the COVID-19 Pandemic –Two nurse ethicists from the front lines share how they are helping nurses navigate the moral dilemmas presenting with COVID-19 cases. Sponsored by the ANA Center for Ethics and Human Rights.
- Non-Acute Care Settings: Hard-Earned Lessons from Two APRNs on the Frontlines - As new cases of COVID-19 continue to emerge across the country, nurses working in all settings will be challenged to recognize and manage these patients quickly and effectively. This webinar brings new perspectives from outside the acute care setting that will be valuable for not only ambulatory care nurses but also for nurses in all facilities caring for COVID-19 patients.
- Caring for COVID-19 Patients: Disease Progression and Nursing Interventions You Need to Know - It has been months since the first COVID-19 case was diagnosed in the U.S. and we continue to see increases in illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths. While there is still much to learn, we now better understand the progression of this disease and nursing care that promotes optimal patient outcomes. By viewing this program, you will learn the most up-to-date information and nursing care strategies.
