Legislative Initiatives

  • Direct 3rd Party Reimbursement for advanced practice nurses.
  • Implemented the Kansas Nursing Student Scholarship Program.
  • Changed the composition of the Board of Nursing to have 6 RN's instead of 5.
  • Development and promotion of Operation Immunize.
  • Appointment of a nursing representative to the Health Care Data Governing Board.

Mission Statement

The Kansas State Nurses Association is the professional organization of registered nurses in Kansas. The mission of the organization is to promote professional nursing, to provide a unified voice for nursing in Kansas and to advocate for the health and well-being of all people.

Through KSNA's Strategic Plan and Goals:

KSNA will promote the development of nursing leaders.
