Kevin is an Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner currently employed by Golden Clinical Services, a division of Golden Living Centers, a national long-term care company. He received his BSN from Columbia University School of Nursing in New York and his MSN from the University of Pennsylvania. While at Penn, Kevin minored in Palliative Care. He also has a master’s degree from Indiana University in Religious Studies and Ethics.
Translation is a new area of nursing research that seeks to translate best evidence medicine and nursing practice into its application at the bedside. Kevin works collaboratively with all areas of Golden Clinical Services in synthesizing the latest research on best evidence and employing various methodologies in disseminating that information into meaningful use to support long term care nurses and nursing assistants.
Additionally, Kevin is also working toward increasing awareness of nursing ethics and to support our clinical staff in ethics education.
Currently on the ANA Ethics website are the following articles he has written: Empowered Caring and the Code of Ethics and Toward an Ethical Defense of Whistleblowing: A Clinical Case Study. In the summer of 2003, he co-authored an online self study module of the Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Kevin has also served on the Public Policy Work Group of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and is currently a Board Member-at-Large of the American Assembly for Men in Nursing.
