Dr. Condon has been active in ethics work since 1980. As a member, then Chair of the Virginia Nurses Association's Ethics Committee and Committee on Ethics and Human Rights, she published in the areas of ethics and caring, and has also made presentations on ethics and caring. She has conducted ethics surveys of nurses in Virginia, served as the Virginia Liaison to the ANA Code of Ethics Task Force, and served on various institutional review boards and human subjects committees.
Dr. Condon currently serves on the faculty of Hampton University School of Nursing. She teaches courses in theory development, research, and adult health nursing to graduate students. She has also taught courses in professional ethics, in conjunction with members of other health disciplines. Her clinical practice experience includes adult health care in critical care units, and in community settings.
