The American Nurses Association would like to thank its website visitors who participated in the January 2013 "Have Your Say" online poll. The poll asked respondents what is the most important role a nurse has in reducing Hospital Acquired Conditions (HACs).

According to the poll, 43% of respondents thought using evidence-based practice was an important role for nurses.  The results were based on 497 submitted responses.

To participate in the new poll, go to the NursingWorld homepage and answer the new poll question under the section titled "HAVE YOUR SAY" at the bottom of the left margin. Polls are posted on a monthly basis, with results from the previous poll made available on the Nursing Insider and the poll results archives.

"Have Your Say" polls are snapshots taken during a brief period of time that reflect the views of NursingWorld.org users who choose to share their opinions on a variety of issues. The polls are not designed or intended to reflect a statistically valid representation of the population and should not be used as such. Data used to report the results were based on responses submitted between December 15, 2012 through January 15 2013.
