The
American Nurses Foundation and the
Oklahoma Nurses Foundation are raising money for an
Oklahoma Nurses Tornado Relief Fund specifically for the registered nurses who were affected by the May 2013 tornadoes in Oklahoma.
Nurses lost homes, cars and other personal belongings and suffered devastating property damage. While insurance and state and federal disaster assistance may be available to these nurses and their families, the foundations would like to assist them while they await these sources of assistance, and provide funds for expenses not covered.
Nurses’ foundations provided similar relief to nurse victims of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Nurses affected by Hurricane Sandy needed help and turned to their fellow nurses.
Donations to the Oklahoma Nurses Tornado Relief Fund will be directly held and distributed in Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Nurses Foundation. Make a donation here.
