The American Nurses Association, in collaboration with the Association of
Community Health Educators, the Association of State and Territorial Directors
of Nursing, and the Public Health Nursing Section of the American Public Health
Association, is requesting public comment on the document
Public Health Nursing: Scope and Standards
of Practice, 2nd Ed. This document defines and
articulates the specialty of public health nursing practice, and the standards
that all public health nurses are expected to meet. Nurses, students, and
stakeholders are invited to review and comment on this document.
Comments must be received by 5 pm ET on June 11, 2012.
