The American Nurses Association (ANA) and several of its organizational affiliates are working with leaders of a new national program aimed at reducing the risk of serious complications and long-term health problems for expectant mothers and newborns.
ANA is helping to promote "Strong Start," a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) public-private partnership that advocates reducing early elective deliveries prior to 39 weeks.
