ANA is JOINING
FORCES. The American Nurses Association (ANA) and the
experts in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) have committed to “touch
every nurse” in the country to raise awareness of post traumatic stress
disorder and traumatic brain injury. ANA is partnering with the American
Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), the Department of Veteran Affairs
(VA), National League for Nursing (NLN) and sectors of the nursing profession
to support this national
Joining Forces campaign. Other partnering organizations include the American Association of Colleges of
Nursing, American Organization of Nurse Executives, American Academy of
Nurse Practitioners, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, American
Association of Neuroscience Nurses, Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, and the federal nurses of the military and public
health services.
On behalf of ANA President Daley and ANA CEO Marla Weston, please consider joining the collective voice of the nursing profession in full support of “Joining Forces”. For those organizations who have already pledged – thank you!
The White House extended the deadline to register your pledge and be included on the April 11 press release to April 3 at 5PM. Please see the attached White House letter, and the ANA/VA letter, encouraging your support.
