The American Nurses Association (ANA) Congress on Nursing
Practice and Economics invites public comment on a proposed revision to the
ANA Principles for Nurse
Staffing.
Appropriate nurse staffing is linked to quality patient outcomes, yet, nurse
staffing remains one of the challenges to healthcare systems and nurses in
practice. The ANA Principles for Nurse Staffing provides a guiding
framework on creating staffing solutions that work for individual healthcare
settings. Nurses and the general public are invited to provide feedback on the
proposed revision of the current ANA Principles. This feedback will be
instrumental in this important work for the profession of nursing and quality
patient care.
Comments must be received by Thursday November 3 at 5 pm ET.
For questions or technical issues, please contact npp@ana.org.
ANA also invites the public to complete a 5-10
minute survey on the proposed Principles for Nurse Staffing: User
