ANA Urges HCA to Invest in America’s Nurses

With a persistent 9 percent unemployment rate in the U.S. and many newly graduated RNs facing a long and discouraging job search, why does HCA want to ease immigration rules to recruit nurses from India and the Philippines to work in its hospitals? That’s the question the American Nurses Association (ANA) is asking HCA’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources. This letter (see below) from ANA President Karen Daley provides more details.
