On October 17, 2011, the American Nurses Association (ANA) and
the American Hospital Association (AHA) sent a letter to the Joint Select
Committee on Deficit Reduction to reject cuts to Medicare and Medicaid payments
to hospitals that could create devastating job losses for health care
professionals.
