ANA Highlights How Health Care Law Benefits Consumers
Starting September 23rd, several more provisions of the new health care law will go into effect. ANA affirms that this law greatly increases access to care for millions of people, and believes it will strengthen and improve the health care system for generations to come.
White House Launched New "Health Reform in Action" Website
On September 22nd, President Obama announced the launch of a new healthcare website dedicated in providing information on the Affordable Care Act and its impact on the public.
IOM Holds Briefing on the Future of Nursing
The Committee on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Initiative on the Future of Nursing at the Institute of Medicine will be holding a public briefing on October 5th in Washington DC. The brief will be to discuss recommendations regarding a blueprint for using nurse-led models of innovation to improve the health care system.
