ANA Testifies on Capitol Hill for Stronger Nursing Workforce

The American Nurses Association (ANA), the nation’s largest nursing organization, was on Capitol Hill Wednesday, May 12, to testify before a House Subcommittee regarding fiscal year 2011 budget priorities. Debbie Hatmaker, PhD, RN-BC, SANE-A, and ANA First Vice President spoke before the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies on the need for additional funding for nursing workforce development.
