OJIN: The Online Journal of Issues in Nursing, the online journal of the American Nurses Association (ANA), has posted the May 31, 2010 topic. The 6 new articles in the OJIN topic, Delegation Dilemmas: Standards and Skills for Practice emphasize delegation in various practice settings, using standards as a guide for delegation and the importance of developing skills in this area. The six initial articles in this topic address a variety of considerations that are important in successful delegation, such as nursing judgment, interpersonal relationships, communication, nursing roles, and practice setting. The articles offer a variety of resources to help nurses develop and maintain delegation skills.
