Karen Daley, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN, was elected to a two-year term as American Nurses Association (ANA) President by nurse representatives at the ANA House of Delegates. Daley spent 27 years as a frontline staff nurse; she has served as a leader in many nursing organizations, and has been a vocal advocate on such nursing issues as safe needle legislation. ANA is very pleased to welcome her to her new role.
