Get Vaccinated… It's National Influenza Vaccination Week.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) Department of Nursing Practice and Policy presents the following information in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

Got your flu vaccine yet? If not, this week is the perfect time! Celebrate National Influenza Vaccination Week (Jan. 10-16) by getting your vaccine – for seasonal influenza or H1N1 – or, by encouraging at least two people (friends, co workers, family, neighbors) to do so. H1N1 activity has decreased, but another wave of illness could be right around the corner. And, January is typically when seasonal influenza begins to hit. Remember, seasonal and H1N1 vaccines are safe, effective, and saving lives.

ANA is joining with its partners at the CDC, the National Influenza Vaccine Summit, Every Child By Two, and others to encourage vaccines to help make a difference. Be a part of National Influenza Vaccination Week, because It’s Up to You to Fight the Flu!
