The
American Academy of Nursing (AAN) is hosting its
35th Annual Meeting and Conference,
Health as a Bridge for Global Peace, scheduled for
November 6-8, 2008, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The focus of the conference is on global health and the critical role nurses play in all aspects of preventing and fighting diseases around the world.
Conference Objectives:
The Conference participants will identify:
- Specific strategies the nursing profession can use to improve global health,
- Discuss challenges and opportunities in the field of global health,
- Offer professional sessions and networking in order to explore the relationships between world peace, the health of nations, and the health of the people of each nation;
- Identify strategies for nursing leadership to affect national and global nurse migration policy, particularly in developing countries.
Call for Abstracts:
The deadline for abstract submission is June 2, 2008. Abstracts are to focus on the conference theme and program objectives.
