The American Academy of Nursing
(AAN) is hosting its 35th Annual Meeting and Conference
, Health as a Bridge for Global Peace
, scheduled for November 6-8, 2008
, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The focus of the conference is on global health and the critical role nurses play in all aspects of preventing and fighting diseases around the world.
The Conference participants will identify:
- Specific strategies the nursing profession can use to improve global health,
- Discuss challenges and opportunities in the field of global health,
- Offer professional sessions and networking in order to explore the relationships between world peace, the health of nations, and the health of the people of each nation;
- Identify strategies for nursing leadership to affect national and global nurse migration policy, particularly in developing countries.
Call for Abstracts:
The deadline for abstract submission is June 2, 2008. Abstracts are to focus on the conference theme and program objectives.
