President Bush has
vetoed a spending bill containing an $18 million increase in fiscal year 2008 funding for
Nursing Workforce Development Programs. Congress is expected to hold a vote to override this veto on Thursday . The last vote in the House of Representatives came within three votes (1%) of a veto-proof majority when they passed the bill (H.R. 3043) on November 8.
The House of Representatives will vote to override this veto TOMORROW - November 15th.
