ANA Launches New Career Search Service For Nurses In Partnership With HealtheCareers Network
The American Nurses Association (ANA) has joined HealtheCareers Network to create a customized career-search posting and application service for nurses and other health care workers. This new career center, which promises to be North America's largest pool of nursing jobs and qualified nursing candidates, is accessible through ANA's Web site via www.nursescareercenter.com.
HEALTHeCAREERS is an integrated nationwide healthcare recruitment Network made up of 65 nursing, allied and physician associations, including 11 nursing specialty organizations. Participating associations provide hospitals and other healthcare employers a single point of contact to recruit members via the associations' online job banks, providing online recruiting resources for thousands of health care employers and recruiters and millions of candidates.
"We're excited to be working with HEALTHeCAREERS Network to provide a valuable employment service to nurses across North America," said ANA Chief Executive Officer Linda J. Stierle, MS, RN, CNAA,BC. "The job bank is as important a resource for our members seeking to build successful careers, as it is for the health industry which is facing serious nursing staff shortages. By combining our collective resources we are able to provide members the most extensive selection of quality reviewed nursing positions, backed by advanced, user-friendly functionality."
ANA's new nurses career center includes the ability to post résumés, attach cover letters, receive e-mail notifications of new job vacancies, track current and past activity and access personalized telephone support
"We're delighted to be aligned with ANA, said Bryan Bassett, HEALTHeCAREERS Network chief executive officer. "Our cooperation with ANA, the leading association for nurses, allows us to fulfill our mission of helping hospitals fill valuable clinical and professional hospital positions while also making it easier for nurses to make their next important career move."
The new HEALTHeCAREERS service replaces ANA's former nurses career center, which previously was managed by Monster.com. For more information regarding the HEALTHeCAREERS Network, visit www.healthecareers.com.

The ANA is the only full-service professional organization representing the nation's 2.9 million registered nurses through its 54 constituent member nurses associations. The ANA advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the rights of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive and realistic view of nursing, and by lobbying the Congress and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public.
