RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the expert planner, coordinator, analyst, and advisor to the Office of the Director of Certification Services in support of the Commission on Certification (COC) and the associated Boards on Certification (BOC). Coordinates report collection activities within the ANCC to ensure that relevant information is assembled, reviewed, and submitted to the appropriate accreditation body in a timely and accurate fashion. Coordinates the development of and monitors monthly Certification Services budget consistent with ANCC strategies, priorities, and staff input. Foster and engage in team building and problems or issues resolution. Analyze and evaluate quality assurance strategies to ensure world-class certification services are provided to internal and external constituents. Performs information management duties to ensure the efficient and effective flow of useful and accurate information both internal and external to Certification Services. Performs contract liaison work in the acquisition and procurement of supplies and services. Performs quality assurance measures on multiple Certification applications and programs. Completes complex program specialist work in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s certification services policies, processes, and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Baccalaureate degree with an emphasis on human behavior, business, communications, nursing or related field. At least three to five years progressively responsible experience in administrative/program management position. Requires the ability to work independently without close supervision, completing work where only general guidance is provided on complex projects that are constantly changing or new. Seasoned analytical skills and initiative in completing complex certification processes and projects in which successful completion is essential to achieving organizational core competencies. Requires strong organizational skills to prioritize time and complete task and projects within defined time frame. Ability to coordinate and follow through on several projects concurrently. Requires analytical and problem solving skills. Strong collaborative skills necessary in order to influence, motivate, and control process contributors to achieve desired results and resolve internal and/or external issues (e.g. COC/Volunteers, Directors and Staff of other ANCC Departments, contract agencies, accreditation bodies, nursing constituents and stakeholders) Discretion in handling confidential information a must. Strong verbal and written communications skills a must to construct and present oral and written arguments and analysis of dissimilar concepts and ideas. Honed listening skills are essential in deciphering varied positions on a myriad of issues to prepare complex meeting minutes. Experience in MW Word, Excel. Experience in MS Access and budget forecasting software a plus.
