In addition, while professional liability insurance does not explicitly define scope of practice, APRNs will want to consider risk management concerns in their decision-making about including specific therapies and procedures in their practice. It is recommended that APRNs ensure that any procedure or practice undertaken is covered by a malpractice policy.
